Oil on Linen Wood framed. Puna art is a stage name of Maysara Mukhlis Algebori. She is an artist, founder, and owner of Puna Art Gallery in Fountain Hills, Arizona, USA. A freelance Canadian artist, born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1967. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts: the University of Baghdad with a B.A. degree in industrial design. Maysara moved to Calgary in 1996 and has fallen in love with it instantly, it has been an inspiration for her with its beautiful changing seasons. Calgary has been home for her and her family ever since. Her work is full of diversity of technique, style and colour, due to her history and the changes in her lifestyle. Her signature is in the art of arabesque and the beautiful Arabic calligraphy painting, especially after participating under UAE’s calligraphist Mohammed Mandi for a year and a half. In 2019 she started Puna Art Gallery in Fountain Hills, Arizona, USA in collaboration with many international artists. Her efforts for the gallery are currently ongoing.
