Information

“Pico’s” lounge chair is the result of a symbiosis between the past and the present. Striving to achieve both a minimal yet sculptural form through the exploration of the restraints and opportunities of traditional wicker weaving. The initial gesture is a vertex that slowly extends to comfortably surround and embrace the human body. It is light, stackable and blends itself with the landscape, while breathing fresh air. Designed by Miguel Soeiro and handcrafted by Fernando Nelas. “Pico” is the result of a residency program organized by Passa Ao Futuro within the context of their exhibition “Hundreds of Baskets – A sustainable technology for the 21st Century” at the Popular Art Museum in Lisbon.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai are our initial location in the United Arab Emirates - UAE.  With a global growing demand for this specific type of art and design pieces, we have an established collective of artists and designers that allows our project to source and present works of unlimited creativity and of the highest levels of artistic and technical capacity. To accomplish this, we connect artists and designers to a network of highly skilled and high-end producers, makers and crafters in various domains and techniques.  Our main goal is encouraging the dialogue between arts, design and crafts in order to break barriers, defy techniques and skills and generate unique collectable objects.
