SOFT SCULPTURES by Portuguese Artist Marita Setas Ferro

The pieces presented are artistic representations of natural elements. These elements of the sea and land (corals, anemones, starfish, shells) are seen through a magnifying glass and reinterpreted through textile techniques – knitting and crochet, worked to create “appetizing” volumes. The different threads used make it possible to approximate natural textures, creating sensations that provoke pleasure, especially in two senses – the visual and the tactile. These “Soft Works” are light, soft and moldable pieces that invite you to touch, embrace, feel and love.
