Toothpicks that are easily used and thrown away in everyday life were selected and reconstructed as objects of the work. Toothpicks, which were usually small and insignificant, are reborn as artworks with the message of life, peace, and the universe. The characteristic of the work is the technique of repeatedly pasting numerous toothpicks in a circular shape. Through a circular mandala-style method of constructing the source of the universe, I tried to express the journey to find the purity of the human inner self. It also contains the meaning of keeping light in primitive comb-patterned earthenware, with a clear heart appearing as light, benefiting the world and spreading widely.
