Ana Jacinto Nunes

Ana Jacinto Nunes, was born in Lisbon, 1973. Her early studies in ballet gave her body language skills used later in her drawings and traditional animations.  She learns to draw, paint and print, and at 23, living alone in China she falls in love with their papers, brushes, and inks. She learns their techniques and applies them back home on murals she does on tiles. In 2001 she receives a career honourable mention. In 2010 she moves to the US, auditing printmaking classes at Indiana University.  From then on she’s done one man shows across Europe, China, and the USA. Traveling gives her the thread she weaves in her drawings.
