Dominique Fayad

I am a printmaker and painter, born in Beirut, who lives and work between Paris and Washington DC. I am inspired by the urban environment and the nature of the countries I visit and live in. My artwork explores the themes of identity, heritage, transmission, and perception through visual interpretations of multicultural aesthetics.

I started etching in Alexandria, VA and fell in love with the process and richness of printmaking techniques. I enjoy exploring ways to create textures, patterns, lines, and color combinations within the technical constraints and sequencing imposed by the printmaking process. I deepened my techniques at the Manhattan Graphics Center and EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York, where I was a teaching assistant in 2019.

My artwork was displayed in multiple juried gallery shows, international art fairs in New York City and can be found in private collections in Paris, New York, Washington DC, Beirut, Canada, Frankfurt, Zurich and Geneva.
