My name is Zahra Shakeri Shemirani, (born on April 6, 1989, in Tehran, Iran), I am an Iranian painter.
My master's degree is in Genetics but because of my passion for Art, I decided to stop working as a gene engineer and become an artist which was a big dream of mine even when I was just a little kid.
Five years ago, I started to learn calligraphy from great artists and calligraphers then tried to combine painting and words. What I believe is that merging these two powerful elements can show the secrets and the deep silence behind an effective piece of Art, but in general I love to be a self-learner and experiencing materials in my own way, so I learned different techniques just by trial and error.
My main goal is to exhibit the original Iranian Artworks.
The magical reflection of the mirrors and gold leaf, garden like carpets that resemble paradise on the Earth, solidity of plasterworks and cement, the kindness of walnut woods, the exciting Iranian music or dance and a hundred other delicate touches of Persian art.
