The Artist
Daria, born in 1996 in Russia and grown up in the UAE, is an emerging fine artist with a multicultural background. Influenced by Bulgarian, Russian and Italian traditional art schools in which she has studied, she is developing her own technique that is based on classical understanding of art, yet is modern. Coming from a very academic environment, her works are thought through and are done with almost surgical precision.
The Inspiration
Her artworks capture a moment of serenity and beauty in the neverending rush of life. Simplicity of the compositions allows the eye to rest, and the color choices and the textures keep the works invigorating and fresh. “Careless” brush strokes with a lot of variations help to create effortless, lively paintings.
The inspiration comes from the everyday objects, as well as abstract ideas that take a physical form in her artworks. She is greatly motivated by the post impressionists and the artists of the art deco period.
Daria works in the genre of portraiture, still life and animalistics.The artist prefers oils and charcoal in terms of materials, as they are very flexible and versatile.
